Well just like before they can do everything but don't really excel in any one area. They probably are a little stronger in the artillery area than anywhere else. The thing I always found with empire is that everything needs to work cohesively in order for the army to be successful. It's combat is good but not great... Demi grpyh knights, great swords, and knights of the white wolf is the combat they have. But their problem is that yeah they may have good save but the all have low toughness so in turn they need to tear up the enemy with artillery and offensive magic. I feel empire needs life magic in the magic department but the new bound spells are awesome. I think in order for the army to be competitive it needs to have its elite combat unit, decent magic witha level 4 and warrior priests, artillery and try and go from there. But if one part of the army fails your chance of being effective drop... At least that's my opinion lol
