Do the New Dark Eldar Suck?

Hey, got a friend who is getting into 40k and aspires for tournament play. Are the dark eldar a viable army or are they lacking like chaos and tyranids in viability? Thanks - Luke

Some people are doing very well with them. Similar to the old Dark Eldar rules. If you plop them down on the board and just roll dice, you get your face caved in. Learn how to play the army well, and you start carving through people. Has a tough learning curve, and you need the right models. Holds of foot troops won't cut it. Must be mechanized, it's pretty much designed into the army.
