Lists for the 2999 tournament in July!!!

I am going to post my lists on here for that tournament. It is a fantasy 2999 tournament that is comped so I don't want to make a crazy hard list but I don't want it to be soft either.

I will post later in the week, but maybe other people will make their lists as well so we can start getting ready for this thing.

OK so here are my two lists that I am thinking about taking neither are finalized and the points are a little off as well, but just wanted to get peoples ideas behind them. I don't want to get crushed by comp but I do want to be right around the middle as well.

Also, Mike, or Ludwig if you have to see this could you give me a rough estimate of what my comp score would be if these were my armies. Thanks

Orcs - I am diggin the savage theme. Even with crap armor saves I think you have enough units that something is going to get to them and throw down the pain. You consider 2 doom divers?

Vamps - Considering the popularity of Lore of Metal lately. I'd grab a couple of ghoul units. Maybe trade in 1 unit of black knights.

yeah i would do the ghouls if I had the models and can't do repeats of rare its makes your comp score go way down not good

I have some of those ghouls from Mantic games you can use.

They have to be GW models its a GT strict rules too you should check out the biggunze site its got all the info and I signed up and payed for it too you scooter and kaleb should do the same soon.

Not quite true.

If it's a GW run GT, then yes, you need to have all GW models.

At an independent GT, the TO sets the rules. Obviously, everyone showing up with non GW models to a tourney that GW is throwing a ton of prize support into would be a bit lame and insulting.

On the other hand, there are a lot of very, very cool models out there work nicely in many armies, and it's nice to see the variations, conversion, and different interpretations on armies.

I compromise by saying "Most of your army must be composed of GW models." No really hard and fast rule, no percentages, no guidelines. If someone has a question, just ask.
A GW VC army with one unit of mantic ghouls, painted to match the rest of the army, and run as ghouls, isn't a problem.

Using the pieces from your little sisters "Old McDonald had a Farm" playset as high elf cavalry would be a problem. (Mainly 'cuz your sister would kick your ass!)

The general rule is: If you're doing it to use cool models and paint them well, it's cool.
