Adepticon on our way.

Ok guys and gals it's time to let me know. Talk to everyone you know find out who wants to go.

Details to come right now I need to know how many people would like to go we need a good amount to make the coast of the bus manageable.

I will be posting this on all the websites I post on normally so everyone knows about it.

If you’re looking to bring your wife or children that shouldn't be a problem so long as your wife and or child are well behaved rudeness will not be tolerated and I know how to kick people of a bus. This trip is meant to be fun for everyone not just you keep it that way.

Please don't waste anyone’s time if you can't go or are saying you would like to go but can't don't say you’re going. Only serious people please. Remember to buy your addepticon tickets. I don't know if we are getting a bus or not it's all about the amount of people we have going and the money they are putting in to go. Also hotel arrangements and food while you’re down there this isn't going to be cheap but I'm sure we will manage. Below is the list of people who are going so far.

i Really do need to know fast who wants to go tell everyone you know that were trying to go i have to book thip bus and call hotels to try and get better rates. also think about bunking with people.

We should talk to people about this tomorrow in the meeting. Maybe we should get a ball-park figure together, letting people know that it could change, but still giving them an idea of what to save up for.

Basic tickets are 30 dollars and you buy additional tickets to the events, most are 10 dollars.

Not sure how much van/bus rental is. but I've rented cars for around 25 dollars a day to 50 dollars a day. Then there is hotel you could probably budget around 40-50 dollars a night bunking with one other person. So ball park figure might be around...and this is rough: 250 dollars to 350 dollars...not including your own food and plastic addiction.

Does that sound about right, Scooter?

yep the more people we get the cheaper the bus and hotel if we get enough people we might be able to swing a deal with hotels. you know we bring all our people to you if you give us xy and z. Brent i need to know if you in ?

adepticon is a huge tournament in chicago allot of stuff going on and what were trying to do on the east coast.

So where are we on the bus situation? Please do not make this last minute because people including muself will either back out or make pther plans. Thos is somethomg that needs to be setup/finalized by feb 8th at the latest. We also need plans for hotels and transportation around town.

Scooter, I was just told last night that I need to goto Adepticon if I want to go. We need to talk! Dunno if the bus is still available.

were going to be takin the train down i would recomind that if your going you should try to go with us and bring some friends the hotel room werte getting is full so we wont be able to fit you in there with us. If you go with people it will bring the coast of the room down a little. the waywere going it will cost atleast 500 dallors a person.

Hey Dudes,
Can someone drop me off at the Marc Train station before going to work on Thursday Morning? I live very close to Arundel Mills and would need a drop off at BWI train station or Dorsey Station off of route 100.

I don't feel like leaving my car at the Marc Station over Adepticon Weekend and I don't feel like calling a cab at 6am or 7am in the morning.

Otherwise see you guys on the Train!

Are there enough sofa's to sleep on in the Grand Suite or do we need sleeping bags too.

Also how are you guys transporting your stuff your bringing down? 1 case 2 case? I was thinking of bringing the hvy bag with the rollers but I don't think it falls into Amtraks baggage guidelines.

Whooops, my ticket states I take the Penn Station train to DC not the BWI train. Just an FYI so anyone else doing this should check to make sure where they are picking it up at.

I don't think this really matters where you pick up the train. The Penn Station train in baltimore is the same line as the train that stops at BWI. Do what ever is more convenient for you. They will honor the ticket where ever you decide to get on. (Actually you probably paid a tiny bit more because you picked Penn Station as the departure point) Its all Amtrak in the end. Just make sure you catch the train at BWI at the right time. Schedules should be available online. -Min

Just checked with Amtrak and it does matter for one simple reason. If the train pulls out of PENN and you haven't checked in there, it'll cancel your entire reservation automaticaly. So yeah Imma going to PENN station lol.

woops, my bad, sorry I only rode amtrak long distance one time at that was before 9/11 started travel security hysteria. Things have changed but I still think train security in general is lacking.

Our club was represented very well. We really kicked some ass and got a lot of attention from the Adepticon fantasy folks. Now we just need to get Dave Taylor pianting our armies to win the Overall Awards

I saved a copy of all my opponent lists. We get home tomorrow evening - train leaves today.

Scooter and I never played each other in the tournament- I just beat my 3 opponents and got more objective points than he did. I think I ended the day with 100/100 and he had 98/100 (somthing like that)

I didn't loose asingle game all weekend....draws arn't loses :p.

Top table round 4 for the Fantisy Championship, winner would have taken best general and the game was mine to loose. Unfortunaly I could only pull out a draw, so almost won that one as well.

I was 28 in the 40k because of shitty paint scores. I had a draw first round due to opponents lucky dice, and slaughtered my next two opponents for a total of 92 battle points. A guy we play with down in Va got 7'th overall, and the 40k SGI team made 10th.

Fun times, and damn some people can SNORE!
