12/8/09 Council Meeting

Is anybody else going to bring anything to play after/during the meeting or are we doing the thing where we show up to our 'home store' and never actually play a game and leave right after the meeting?

Shoot I can't make these anymore. I have classes on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Well, it turns out I can't make this one either, as it turns out I have a work obligation.

Scooter, can you talk to Matt or draft people to make sure that there are 16 4x6 tables upstairs on Saturday morning? they don't necessarily have to be set up, but I won't be able to get to the store this week until Saturday morning, so I'd like to have everything set (or at least upstairs before them).

Thank you, did you pick up trophies or cancel your order. I have 3 waiting for me to pick them up, but I haven't paid for them yet so I can just ignore them if you've already got some.

I will not be able to attend the meeting this month. I've got a mandatory training at my command today and I will not be able to make it to the store in time. Gotta' love Uncle Sam.

Ok guys this is some of the stuff we have come up with. The council meeting went ok we talked about the upcoming tournaments. How much we’re going to charge how much goes into the club coffers, and how much we will spend in the tournament. Casie let us know that the tournament we’re holding on the 12 has enough terrain for all the tables which is always cool. December 12 is going to go off just fine. We decided that going with plaks instead of trophies would be better easier to store and a little better looking. I’ll be picking them up from the shop across from games and stuff shortly.

The main subject we talked about at the meeting was dues. We need to collect dues from members that would like to be part of the club so what do we give our members for joining the group.

1) All of the tournaments we hold will be at half price for you.

2) If you are a golden daemon painter we will pay for 75 dollars of your model you wish to buy and paint.

3) The embroidering of a shirt with your name club level and store on it

4) A holiday party at the end of the year

Now there are some other big stuff were working on to get for you but I don’t really want to tip my hand right now. Let me work some stuffs and I will let you know.

If you have any questions about the pros to paying dues please feel free to ask. As usual anyone is allowed to go to a council meeting and voice there opinion if they would like. Well I hope to see all of you at the next club meeting.
