| so i got ahold of the book yesterday and read through it. very disappointed. as usual gw took what was great in the previous editions and nerfed them and made the crappy stuff better. slaanesh was the big winner. everything got cheaper and better. Lash in an incredible weapon 2d6 S as user. ugh.... letter cost 2 points more with s4 now and a 6+ scaly skin. hold your ground/inspiring presence only works for the same god now. they are really pushing the mono god thing. all the spells are the same as the WoC book. lore attribute is cool even though theyre all the same. i think im gonna sell my stuff lol | |

| nurgle got huge buff. beast of nurgle which are ridiculous are cheap and worth there points. all nurgle is decent. but the randomness to losing combat or winds of magic means alot of unhappy games by either you or opponent for you rolling lucky box cars all time. new cannon is pretty sweet though. havnt looked at 40k yet | |

| The winds of magic adding mostly negative effects each turn and having to roll for daemonic gifts as opposed to actually being able to build your Lord the way you want to are really awful changes. I've not seen anything yet that I'd consider a positive in the new book which really makes me sad. I was absolutely in the 'Daemons need to be fixed' camp, but I think they absolutely broke this book - I'll wait to see how they start to look on the table before I settle into the doom and gloom, but all my first impressions have been very negative. | |

| I think daemons are still going to be a power house army.
Skull Cannons are pretty much Iron blasters that can heal themselves and have a ward save.
Same goes for that Nasty Slaanesh Chariot. 8 wounds with 2d6+2 impact hits is crazy.
Plaguebearers are much better now.
Yes it will be really random but they are still a very good army.
We will see when they hit the table. | |

| idk. the fantasy army wasnt all that until 2500+. they needed to tone down some things but they tanked it bad. the codex i think is better. if nothing else everything got cheaper. | |
