New Ideas for WM Community Building

So the other area Pressganger and I are planning the following:

1) A system of consolidated and tracked tournament points accumulating over the summer as people play in and win games during tournaments all over Maryland (maybe southern PA and northern VA, but at the moment it's just tournaments we'd run, which limits the options). This system would award points to players (independent of tournament outcome) for wins, draws and losses. At the end of the summer we'd have something like an 'invitational tournament' for the highest scoring 16 players from that group and then simultaneously some other big event for everybody else (we might need to get a space larger than a store to do this in).

Thoughts?

2) We're starting the new WM league in April when the material is released. GCS already ordered their league material so I'll start taking signups here now I guess. The league is basically a way to get credit for casual games you play, you get points for playing different factions, using special characters and other stuff. There are rewards and the outcome of the league feeds into the overall development of the storyline in the game universe for the year. There will also be at least 1 more league with the same structure over the summer.

The tracking of events for the invitational tournament is definitely a neat idea.
