Arcane Items

Any of you guys check out the magic item rules, specifically Arcane?

It says ALL magic itmes are unique unless stated otherwise, and a character can only take one item for each category.

That means scrolls are now unique, and if you buy a scroll you can't buy another Arcane item... if I am reading it right.

It seems the days of Level 4 with 2 scrolls and extra spell (or similar combo) is over.

Interesting as it means you either take cheaper wizards by taking less items, or you are buying other items like ward saves of magic weapons or something. Big shift in the metagame for mages.

Yeah, quite a bit of change.

Magic is either meh, or it causes the entire orc army to surge forward and kill tones of dark elves, or a level 1 mage to kill 26 orcs, the orc general, and a hydra with one spell.

Scrolls aren't near as useful as they were in previous editions. Only adding 2 dice to a dispel attempt instead of dispelling the entire spell is kinda meh. I can see it being useful maybe in a few cases but I can think of a hell of allot more uses for those points now.

I never though aboput it I'm going to the bunker today I'll read up on the scroll arcane thing. After playing a couple of Games this book will not stop the power lists from happaning. I'll be at the bunker today if you all want to come down and play.

Yeah let me know cause I'm seeing conflicting info now that says it's the old way and some that are saying it's 2 dice to the dispell attempt.

Scroll stops the spell. We have the book.

It absolutely stops the spell. The 2 dice thing was rumor it seems, like quite a bit of other stuff.
