Expanding Our Horizons - Any Interest In Other Hobbies?

Hey guys, how are things? Good I hope.

I have a question for the group, actually more than one.

Would anyone be interested in having a Chess tournament where we use Warhammer Models for Chess Pieces? The only catch is do we have a standard for each army ie: Your Space Marine Rook/Castle has to be a Terminator or do we say do whatever you want it just has to make sense? No complaining, no balancing issues, flip a coin for first turn.

Is there any interest in other competive events? I'm thinking along the lines of electronic gaming such as console fighting games (ie. streetfighter, etc. ) or Real Time Strategy ( ie. starcraft)? I don't think it would be that hard to scrounge up some systems and run a Street Fighter or Guilty Gear tournament. I also don't think it would be that hard to get some laptops together and have some Starcraft or Warcraft tournies.

I know we're looking to run other systems such as war machine and flames of war. I know we're ooking into doing Card Games like Magic and ... other stuff.

The two I listed are just examples, is there any interest in trying to start up video game tournaments? We could even do some oldschool stuff, maybe a Battleship tournament, what about Risk? Othello? Anyone feel me on this?

I know a guy with a boat - we just have to drive for 2hrs and split the gas for the boat. We dont even need fishing licenses
