Per the GW online FAQ Deffrollas now affect vehicles (like they always should have, what with the fact that rams are still a type of tank shock blah blah blah). Expect this upgrade on battlewagons alllllll the tiiiiiime.

On an unrelated note, I now need to get my hands on 2 deffrollas...... cheers

Oh for sure on that one. The fact that it showed up anywhere though implies to me that it's coming, and soon.

For what it's worth, in Spanish Tank Shock is translated as Armored Brutality. How fantastic is that?

It's a little over the top to call it broken. It still has to start its turn within 12" of you to even do anything. If your IG list somehow can't stun/immobilize/kill a battlewagon for the several turns it would take to reach your Russes you deserve to get squashed.

Yeah except that you have to deal with the 3 wagons, and how ever many trukks, and there is a real good chance that at least two of the wagons will have 4+ saves from the shield and that the wagons have... what 14 front armor?

Yeah...calling it broken is not really over the top. Especially in an army that WANTS to get close to you. If the IG or Tau had something like this it might not be broken as nothing in an IG or Tau army wants to get close. Orks though? The new rolla rule is like the cherry on top for them.

No melta (if you say weirdboy I'm going to cry), no AP1, no Lance weapons, no ranged weapon greater than S8. Orks are the only army in the game that matches that degree of anti-tank ranged lameness. Killing vehicles up close is what they do.

Besides, in the world of zoanthropes with S10 AP1 Lances battlewagons should not be giving you anti-tank nightmares

Something I had not noticed in the Rulebook FAQ:

Q. Am I able to gain the benefits of any of my
opponent’s wargear or special rules, such as
Teleport Homers, Chaos Icons, Tyranid Synapse,
Necron Resurrection Orbs etc?
A. In most occasions this is clear, as the rules use
the words ‘friendly’ or ‘own’ to indicate your
units, and ‘enemy’ for the opponent’s. On the
other hand, some rules clearly specify that they
affect ‘friend and foe’. A few rules are, however,
slightly ambiguous as they don’t clearly specify
this distinction. As a general principle, we
recommend that you cannot use or gain the
benefits from any of the wargear or special rules
of your opponent’s army, unless specifically
stated in the rule itself (‘friend or foe’) or in an
official FAQ.

That solves the boarding plank issue in regards to attacking walkers and arguments about them striking back methinks. One less thing for ork players to have to argue about. I suppose the last open issues is whether you have to roll scatter on a shock attack gun that roll doubles.
