So I have decided that I cant stay away from Fantasy any longer. I know 8th isn my cup of tea, but i still love it.

So what army size is the normal now, are special characters allowed? Tell me what is the deal these days.

Nice one Joe. Aim for 2500.
Characters ok, but Teclis, Thorek, Kairos and masque are often tournament-banned.

Which army?

Thanks Martin, army wise I don't know. I played every army at one point or another through 5,6 and 7 edition. I had an idea for Tk's but it has a Special Char in it, and Orges with 3 units of 4 Mournfangs. Honestly I just to get playing again to see what I want to do.

most tournament's seem to allow special characters with the exceptions Martin listed above. 2500 is definitely the right numbers. Make a list or two, get to G&S on a Mon or Tues and lets play man!

For sure, right now with my leg healing from surgery I can't drive. I might try to setup a game while me and my wife are on vacation a then end of the month. I will get some lists together and see about borrowing the models to test it out
