Hello all I'm back

This Tuesday were going to be starting a "40k kill teams" gaming so if you would like to join in that’s what were pushing this week also standard gaming we have 8 tables to play on right now, so there is plenty of room. We are also running a table making clinic down stairs we have 10 tables and were going to be painting sanding and flocking them.

And in even more important news. the challenge has been thrown down. CJ of Inner Circle Arundel Mills has been challenged By yours truly a 4 thousand point match all combat no magic no shooting Dark elves VS. Orc's and Goblins.

Activites for GENERAL CLUB MEETING on Sept 22, 2009

1) 40k Kill Team Tournament
2) Table Building Clinic

The 40k kill team rules will use a variation of the old Combat Patrol rules:

500 points
No models with a 2+ save (of any kind)
No models (including vehicles) worth more than 100 points
No units worth more than 250 points
1+ Troops
0-1 HQ
0-1 FA
0-1 HS

We'll run pitched battle, 3 objective scenarios with kill points and objective scoring for the wins.

Be prepared to play fast and start at 6. We expect to be able to get 3 rounds of a tournament in during the 3 hours we have for gaming. We'll take as many players as we have and I'll have a couple of ringer armies for filling slots if needs be. Overall winner will receive a $25 gift card to GCS provided by me.

If you're at all interested in how to make a gaming table, either for yourself or for your club come down and check out the clinic that we'll be running. You'll get to learn basic techniques you can apply to your terrain or model bases, some painting and scenic techniques and just have a good time with paint and glue.

These are activities are just the beginning too, if you have ideas for future activities, things you want to learn about, things you can teach others, big games you want to see, grudge matches you want to keep alive, any of that, let us know so we can make your Tuesday nights awesome!

yes sir mister Chris. were trying to start to run more events so if you want in make sure you bring a list going to be amasing. The table building is for the club we need somwere in the area of 92 tables my july.

Sounds really fun. Count my Orks in for the game.

Here are some sample lists I worked up, I'll have the models to run almost all of these simulateously with me on Tuesday so we can pick up extra players then and there.

Sounds fun! I am in for the 40K event. I will be bringing some Eldar fun!

I'm also bringing Chaos in the Old World, and I'd like to get a game in. I think I'll arrive early, like, 4ish.

I'll show up for a game of CiiOW at 4ish.

Our 40k event went well. We had three players, but since I was one of them I made myself ineligible for the win. James, a visitor from PA was able to defeat Matt Reichert over two games, with a total score of 11-4. For his excellent competition he won a 25$ dollar gift card to Games Comics and Stuff.

We're going to repeat this event in two weeks on October 6, and hopefully we can get a few more players. Same prize, but I've tweaked the rules to fit more with the base line Combat Patrol rules while clarifying the scenario rules:

Tournament will consist of as many rounds as we have time for, hopefully 3 games in 3 hours

Lists will be:

500 points
No models with a 2+ save (of any kind)
No models with 3 or more wounds
No models (including vehicles) worth more than 100 points
No units worth more than 250 points
No vehicles of more than 33 cumulative AV
1+ Troops
0-1 HQ
0-1 FA
0-1 HS
0-1 Elite

4x4 tables

Scenarios will be:

Pitched battle deployment; random game length; scored on basis of objectives and victory points as follows:

3 objectives at 12” increments across middle of table each worth 1 point. In order to secure objective player must have troops within 3”, in order to contest player must have more units within 3”, troops count as two units.

1 point for each 100 points, rounding down, of enemy forces killed.

There are a total of 8 points available per game. Massacres worth all 8 points.

Overall winner will be the player who accumulates the highest total number of points.

Ties will be broken by % of total points from victory points.

we are also going to be building tables and terran so if you want to help with that amazing. These events are open to anyone you don't need to be a innercircle memmber to help out or to win the gift card.

turns out I won't be able to attend the meeting this week, so if somebody else wants to run that 40k patrol event that would be awesome. Frankly all you have to do is set up tables, everything else is list restrictions and not being a d-bag.

I'm there or I"m square, unless I"m working, I'll get my schedule tomorrow. There is a chance I"ll have to be square, I sure hope not, I've got a new list I want to run for this kill team. Speaking of which, we should post the rules for the kill teams, it was confusing last time. What I remember is this:

- 0-1 HQ
-No Model over 100 Points.
-No Vehicle who's frost, side and rear armor adds up to 33 or more.
-500 points or less.
-No Squad over a certain point value...? I have no idea what that value is.

And keep in mind we're seizing objectives.
