| I was just wondering if anyone really played this. I thought it would be a fun thing to get going. It seems really involved but if we could get like a bunch of people to meet and play on sundays that would be really cool. I need to learn some rules but I would like to try it out.
Let me know what people think of that idea.

| Well the problem was that he was aloud to play an unlimited number of games, which aloud for his Possessed to become invincible(literally). | |

| you just need to put a cap on the amount of gold or the number of mutations allowed per possessed, and the number of games played is fine | |

| I am all about playing some Mordheim. That's one of the reasons I signed up on here. I have 2 rulebooks and the annual. Plus I got my 4 story ruined building and all my terrain making stuff outta my parents basement. I'd love to have a reason to make more Mordheim terrain. Anyways, I'll keep checking to see if & when y'all wanna start something. | |

The the mutations mainly just give it extra attacks and movement. They become invincible one you get them to be T 6 with 4 wounds, step aside, lightning reflexes, and dodge. None of that comes from the mutations, just from the ridiculously high maximum stats of possessed.

| But anyways, that should not happen if we're limited to one or two games a week. Those Possessed just won't get enough experience to become the gods they can be. | |

| Easy - you only get to use them 1 game per week. This means you can't play Mordheim more than once a week. So in summary you can only play once per week. Playing more than once a week is not allowed. | |

| then whomever plays a second game can decide which of the two games they played that week they want to take the benefits from. You can play 100 games if you want, but only 1 will modify your warband for the following week. | |

| I am going to start reading the rules but I say we play for like a month or so get our warbands some XP
Then have like a little tournament after that what do you guys think??? It doesnt have to been anything big like 10-12 people would be more then enough

| But if were going to do this I am going to need some guide lines cause I have never played before
Like how much Gold do we start out with, how much do we get each week stuff like that so that we can all start making our warbands.
I think this is a great idea but like I said someone needs to set up the guide lines for starting this thing.

| Usualy 2 or 3 games a week works out un-even #s. One game a week could get pretty boring as some games are over pretty quick. Driving out to the game store for one game of Mordheim isn't an evening worth of fun. Although it would leave time for other games too.
Another good limit on games is that you can't play the same opponent 2 times in a row, or may in the same week. This prevents two people from playing allot of games against each other for the sole reason of building up their warbands. Just a thought.

| Sorry for the double post but I also wanted to try & answer some of Joko12s questions The rulebook is avalible from the GW site under the Specialist Games resource section. Which I think you can get with the link below. http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?catId=cat200208&categoryId=1100010§ion=&aId=5300009This next link is to an excellent site about Mordheim, that has pretty much all the rules and optional rules collected. (It's a wonder GW hasn't shut them down yet) http://www.mordheimer.com/index.htmWarbands generaly start with 500 gold crowns. You have to get a leader and certain # of henchmen, that differs with each warband , as does the max #s you can have. It's best to have plenty of heros because they are the ones who make the GCs. You make GCs after each game & the amount depends on how the game went, if you won or lost, finding Warpstones during the game, ect. You'll almost never make enough to really make your warband big because you'll be replacing dead men and lost equipment. A really good or a really bad game can seriously effect a warband, especialy early on. If you stick with it though your warband will slowly grow but most are limited to 15 members.' Hope that helps. | |

| Yeah thanks a lot, and yeah I guess if a bunch of people are willing to meet at one time then you could play more then one game that day. So like maybe 2 a week then for a month and then tournament time
And thanks again I'm going to start reading up on all the rules asap!!!

| Your leader, nor anyone in the warband, start with skills. You get them by gaining XP, which you do by playing games.
The amount you gain depends on the scenario but each of your heros & henchmen groups get 1pt for surviving the battle. Heros generaly start with some XP but that just means they need to gain more to get an advance.
When a hero or henchmen group reachs a certain point on their XP tract the get to roll for an advance which could be an characteristic (str, att,ws,bs,ect.) increase or a new skill.
For example Mercenary Captain starts with 20xp once he gains 4 more he get an advance which could be a skill or a char. increase. Young bloods start with 0xp so only need to gain 2xp to advance.
Henchmen are bought and gain XP in groups, & they must all be armed the same way at all times. They gain usually gain less XP because most of the bonus XP in different scenarios is for heros only. They do get 1xp every game for surviving. when they reach 2xp they get to roll advance which usualy only gets them a char. increase.
Hope that helps explain it a little better. I don't mind helping people figure out the rules of Mordheim cause its probably my favorite GW game. Followed closely by Gorkamorka, no that's a fun game, Orkey Mad Max goodness.

| sorry was typing that while you were saying you know most of it. So to answer what you didn't know, Heros including leaders don't start with any skills or advances, their starting XP is just to put them ahead of everyone else in gaining new ones. | |
