heya all for those of you that play fantasy armies with horses, and are great painters. do you have any tips for creating very realistic looking fur/hair? (not the tail and mane) just got my green knight model in and dont wanna paint him till practicing my bretonnia stuff. aka horses, cloth highlights, non0metalic metal. of which i think the toughest part to perfect is a good horse body fur. soon as my credit card payment clears i'll grab a box or two of mounted knights, knights errant whatever thier called.

The gw article is a good start:
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?categoryId=400024&pIndex=1&aId=16100056&start=2

and the more general horse painting article (probably better to start on this one)

Wouldn't worry too much about making it look furry, getting the highlight & shading on the musculature goes a long way.
