A note to The Fabulous Orcboy aka Ken Lacy. (I hope that's right).

A rule question came up on the 12/12/2009 tournament regarding the Witch Hunters "Shield of Faith" nullifying the Tyranid power "Synapse".

It turns out that "Shield of Faith" will not nullify the "Synapse" power

You're right!

Mike and I talked about it, and realized it that evening looking through the codex.

FWIW, an older version of that FAQ (specific to the old Collar of Khorne) said exactly the opposite. Not much of an excuse, but my 40K knowledge really is a bit outdated. Sorry for the confusion. :p

I'm glad, and it speaks to the quality of players in the group that despite the difference of opinion it was handled maturely and calmly. I'm not surprised at all, but given the horror stories you sometimes hear it was gratifying to see.

Luckily it didn't effect the game much. That one brood of gaunts was doomed to a pile of burnt mush anyway.
